This is a place where I post my recent activities. This place will try to be up to date, but I can’t promise that. I choose not to use dates. I ask myself why.
Endless forms most beautiful... exhibition at Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw
I am in the process of curating a show called “Endless forms most beautiful”, which is tribute to Darwin and his famous work “The Origin of species”. Full quote goes like this:
“Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.”
What inspired me to title like that exhibition is also a meeting with scientist Sebastian Ciocioba and book he recommend me to read: “Endless forms most beautiful” by Sean B. Caroll. Book introduces the reader into the world of evo devo - evolutionary developmental biology.
On the exhibition you will see works of Günter Seyfried and yours truly. Works are tribute to evolution. They come from deep fascination with biology.
Exhibition opens on 1 February and will last till 1 March in Austrian Cultural Center in Warsaw. If you happen to be in Warsaw at this time you are more than welcome. I will later write a bit more about presented works.
